Jai Purnima is one of the festivals of Nepal. It is Hindu festival celebrated in Nepal by all Hindu family. Generally, it falls in the month of August during full moon or as per Nepali calendar in the month of Shrawan or Bhadra month. Each region has their own way of celebrating the same. For example, people of Terai region celebrates as Raksha Bandhan same as in India. Newar Community celebrates as Kwati Purnima. However, the Brahmins and Chettri celebrate Janai Purnima.
