Enjoy one of the famous Hemis Festival in Leh Ladakh, held each year at Hemis monastery which is a good example of rich culture, colorful and vibrant ambience. The festival celebrates the victory of good over evil. All the locals get dresses in their traditional dress, performing sacred masked dance along with long horns and musical drums. It is also held during the birth anniversary of the Tibetan Buddhism founder, Guru Padmasambhava who fought evil to safe his people.
